Summer Holidays.
Hello Parents and Guardians
Do you like our new website? We are delighted with it. We tried to make it colourful and eye catching. I hope you like our virtual tour of our beautiful school. I hope you find it helpful. Normally we would have an Induction meeting for the parents of the Junior Infant children but of course that is not possible with the Corona Virus. I am very happy that we got through this year with no cases. We have followed the guidelines very carefully. But even doing that a child or an adult could have carried it in from home. So we have been blessed. Tomorrow is the last day at school until September 1st. To avoid collision with the children in the Big Boys and the Big Girls schools, we are staggering our going home times. Junior Infants finish at 11.40, Senior Infants 11.45 and First Class 11.50. Despite the restrictions and the strict guidelines from the HSE we have had a very happy school year. We created a very happy environment for the children. They felt safe and secure and happy. We just got on with the job of teaching and educating the children. As I have said in the letters I sent home starting days for Junior Infants is different to Senior Infants and First Class. We have 4 Junior Infant Classes. 2 are starting on Thursday, September 2nd and 2 on Friday September, 3rd. This gives us a chance to make them feel welcome and comfortable in their new class rooms. We thought last year that it would be a difficult time for the Junior Infants coming into the school without their parents but believe me it wasn't. They were very happy and contented and enjoyed their First day at school. It will be the same next September. I would like the Junior Infant parents to fill in the contact form above as soon as you receive the letter with the password. Then we can communicate with you easily. Towards the end of August you will know the name of your teacher and the Entrance gate to stand at in September. Book lists and an Information Booklet will be posted out to Junior Infant parents at the beginning of July. Junior Infants finish early for a while as they get very tired. All this information will be on the website at the end of August and we will e mail you. Please check our website regularly for updates. Have an enjoyable summer. It has been a tough year for us all. I am looking forward to meeting all the Junior Infants in September and welcoming back our Senior Infants and First Class on September 1st.
