Hello Parents and Guardians.

I hope you all had a very good summer despite the rainy August. We are in school preparing for the return of the children in September.We are trying to give you all the information you need so the return to school will be relaxed and stress free for you and your children. All the information about starting times and the Gate you go to will be on the section' Info For Parents'.Junior Infants will receive a letter with all the information about your Class Teacher, Starting day and Times. With Covid we are continuing with the structures set in place last year for the safety of the children and the entire school community, We were very blessed that we had no cases at all last year. Parents are not permitted on school grounds or in the school building. It worked out perfectly last year. You can ring and make a phone appointment at any time and of course you can arrange to talk to the teacher at the gate. You can e mail us at stmalachysinfants@eircom.net Junior Infants were fine last year. We met them at the gate and took them in. I think we are all getting used to the new world of living with Corona Virus. Our Virtual Tour of the school will familiarise the Junior Infants with our school. We put a lot of time into composing the tour so the children and the parents will feel comfortable and reassured that the environment is child friendly and very welcoming. Thank you for the many phone calls thanking us for such a lovely tour of our beautiful school. Your calls were very much appreciated by the Teachers and myself the Principal. I am really looking forward to seeing all the children return to school. There is always a special place in my heart welcoming the little Junior Infants on their first day in the 'Big School' as they call it.
