Féis Mhuirtheimhe took place on 21st May in our school hall. We took part in the poetry section. All poems were in Irish. There are different age categories. All schools in town and outer areas took part. The children love taking part in it. Unfortunately we can only enter 2 children from each class. I would like to thank Miss Dunne for all the hard work she put in preparing the children for the Féis. The children practiced daily and should be very proud of the immense effort they put in. 20 children entered from our school. On the day the children performed and recited the poem brilliantly. The overall standard was very high. Miss Dunne and I were very proud of every single child who represented our school on the stage in Saint Malachy's Hall. They were fantastic! The children all received a well-deserved certificate and lolly. We won 5 medals. Congratulations to the children. Well done!
